LOCATION: Our next December in Paris - Drawing Program will hold morning drawing sessions in our new
                    Paris Program Studio in Montmartre, as well as offer critique of ongoing student drawings
                    at the Musee du Louvre.

                    Please see our Facilities page for complete details on the new Paris Program Studio.

CLASS DATES:   Monday, November 29, 2010 - Friday, December 17, 2010

                      Note: First class meeting will be Sunday, November 28, 2:00 PM, at the Paris Program studio.

CLASS SCHEDULE::   Studio sessions will be held for 3 weeks total, Monday - Friday, with 20 hrs of figure drawing per week.

                               Drawing demonstration and critique offered at the Louvre, 9 daylight hours per week.
                               (2-3 individual Louvre critiques per student, per week, with alternating instructors.)

CLASS SIZE: 10 maximum + instructors

                      All December 2010 students enroll full-time, for the entire three weeks.

WHO is ELIGIBLE?   Anyone may apply - There are no academic or other pre-requisites.

                               Students are registered full-time, for this drawing course only,
                                to be held in the new Paris Program Studio in Montmartre.

TUITION PRICE:   1575 euros, for one 3-week term, scheduled as follows:

                          Figure sessions 20 hours per week; 9 afternoon hours drawing at the Musee du Louvre per week.
                          Instructor demonstration and several individual Louvre critiques per week, alternating instructors.

                         Three weeks of housing in Paris not included.
                          Students required to find and contract their own housing in Paris.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The December 2010 Paris Drawing Program is a "hands-on" opportunity for beginners, serious students and emerging professionals, available exclusively through Studio Escalier in this location.

The course will feature a structured curriculum on drawing the human figure and copying after masterpieces of sculpture and painting. (20 hrs of life drawing/week, 9 hours of supervised drawing at the Louvre weekly.)

The course schedule will also permit students to draw at night in the Musee du Louvre (on Wednesday and Friday nights).

Also, the class will take one weekday afternoon for a visit to: "Neoclassicism: 1720-1790, Art Between Antiquity and Reinvention" .
