IN-PERSON STUDIO COURSES: ARGENTON-CHATEAU and PARIS
Our upcoming in-person course schedule including subject, location, program dates and application deadlines are listed below in chronological order.
Admission to in-person studio courses in Paris and Argenton-Chateau requires online application and portfolio submission. The normal deadline for application to studio courses is 4 to 6 months before the first day of class.
In-person studio courses in Paris – in drawing only – are enrolled 4 to 6 months in advance. See below for the most current information on upcoming Paris programs and their online application deadlines.
In-person studio courses in Argenton-Chateau – in drawing and painting – are enrolled 4 to 6 months in advance. See below for the most current information on upcoming courses in Argenton-Chateau and their application deadlines.
ONLINE COURSES: WORLDWIDE
Our online courses were first created in response to demand in May 2020, and online courses will continue through the end of 2025. We enroll online students worldwide.
Admission to our online courses requires online application and portfolio submission, ordinarily 3 months before the first day of the class.
New online courses currently accepting applications are indicated below by the 
button.
CAN I APPLY BEFORE THE DEADLINE, CAN I APPLY AFTER THE DEADLINE?
All applications are reviewed at the deadline, not before. Notifications are normally made and courses are enrolled at that time.
In the event of any cancellation or last-minute availability, it may be possible for some courses to enroll after the published deadline as an alternate. See the schedule below and click on the 
button to apply as an alternate.

COURSE SCHEDULE – GENERAL OVERVIEW
Studio Escalier operates school studios in Paris, as well as in Argenton-Chateau, France (2.5 hrs southwest of Paris). The course schedule on this page includes ALL upcoming courses in both locations.
We currently only schedule drawing programs in Paris, from September to May annually.

We schedule 6- to 12-week courses in drawing and painting at our campus in Argenton-Chateau, between May and October annually. See our INTENSIVE COURSES page for a more detailed description.
We schedule up to five special programs annually in figure drawing, figure painting, portrait painting or other topics, that may be held in either location. See our SPECIAL PROGRAMS to learn more about what’s planned for the coming year.

APPLICATION DEADLINES
The priority application deadline for every course is 4 to 6 months before the first day of class.
Not all courses are fully enrolled by the priority deadline, and alternates may be needed in case of cancellations.

To see the tuition price and payment deadline for any course, including policies on tuition payment, housing, and refunds, click the course title above and then click APPLY ONLINE. All price and payment policy information is now included in each course’s online application form.
Our INTENSIVE COURSES in Argenton-Chateau are enrolled on two deadlines:
a priority deadline (5 months before the first day of class), and
a final deadline (if needed, 2 months before the first day of class).
Priority enrollees are given first housing preference, in the order applications are received.
Final applicants are enrolled at the full tuition price, after the student cancellation/refund deadline has passed, in the event of last-minute cancellations or other unexpected availability.
Note: There are currently no scholarships or student aid available for courses in Argenton Chateau.
